Welcome to Ferin Heart. We are a semi-literate to Advanced literate role play site. If you respect us, we respect you, simple as that. Rules are something all sites have, without them, the world would be thrown in to chaos and we would all surely die. So please take your time and actually read these rules. If you don't read them then please hit the little X at the upper right corner of your screen.

It's a given that you have to be thirteen or older to join any pro boards site; then again, I can't look at your birth certificates to verify you are thirteen. But, whatever! Also if your not comfortable with Alcohol, blood, swearing, maiming of eyes, and possible streaking. Then please don't join.

character creation

Okay this should be simple, when you've signed up I want you to change your display name to your character's FULL name. That means first middle and last name. No symbols in the name and what not like ~ , ! , or ♥. They are extremely annoying. And PLEASE use common sense when picking a name. Unless your parents were hippies I don't want any Sunshines or Bubbles. PICK. ACTUAL. NAMES. After that go to the Character Creation board and get the application. Highlight the code and I suggest on a word document or something type in all the information.
When your done, put it the Waiting List board; inside the Character Creation board.

We the staff have to read Every. Single. Application. So make them interesting 'kay? Or else I will tell you very bluntly that it sucks big monkey balls. You may post them in the waiting list board incomplete. But that doesn't mean you leave them in there for all eternity. You have 3 days from the time you posted it to finish it. If you haven't, I'll try to contact you. If I don't get a response within 24 hours, I will delete your application to reduce clutter.

It will usually take 24 hours for a application to be accepted, it all depends when a admin gets on. Don't go harassing me or an admin to go look at your application. If you do that we'll make you wait longer.

P.S. No Gary Sues or Mary Sues. That means your character is in a fight scene and you have a sword slicing at you. You're not superman! things hurt, bleed, gush oozing liquid! I despise Mary Poppin characters. Only Mary Poppins herself is perfect in every way.

Once the admin has placed your application into the Admitted board, Face claims are optional. But, if you do have one you are to immediately go to the face claim and claim your face. The face claim may be: people, actors, models, singers, band members, etc. etc. etc. But NO anime, cartoons, drawings, myspace pictures (You know the ones that are taken in the bathroom or with that retarded ducky face thing). Only your dragon may be drawn.

posting/role playing

When you post, make it easy to read. There is absolutely NO CHAT SPEAK. We are a semi-literate to literate site, so that means you need to be able to post in a way that allows you and everyone else to understand what your saying. Other than that, there must be at least 200 words PER POST. I don't like half assing, but I mean we all have hard days and or writers block. If that's the case, make a comment about it after the post. But, don't do it every single post. When posting you can swear, just don't make it every single word. I mean, this isn't a disney movie, but still I don't like swearing. Now, mature content is against Proboards T.O.S. so sorry, no sex scenes and what not. If that's going to happen move it off the site like email or something, Otherwise, just use the magic of time skip and skip to the after. Anyways, if the thread is possibly going to have graphic violence or something put a [M] in the title.

Multiple Locations/Posting

Your character may post in more than one location at a time.
You MUST be able to keep up all your posts if you choose to be in more than one post at a time.
You must still END for your character when you finish in a particular post so that other members in that post know your character has left.
Remember, even if you are posting in more than one time, you may not state something has happened until it has ACTUALLY occurred in the RP.

Posts will be considered Open to ALL/ANY unless expressly stated in the thread. Please refrain from ALWAYS writing in closed threads that don't allow others to join. Have a good reason for your closed thread if you are creating one. Remember you WANT other people to WANT to join you, be open to writing with everyone!!!

Please wait at least 24 hours for another member to reply before double-posting to end for your character. Remember we all live in different places so we need to give each other at least some time to reply before abandoning and moving onto a different thread.

Also, don't make your character swear in their every dialogue. You have to swear moderately and maybe not at all though we do doubt that. Just swear moderately or else we'll whip you.

This is a mature site so please try to act this way, I mean we can all be random and my butt!!. But I don't go spamming the cbox with messages like s;hfioaewhtow etc. Again no clogging up any of the site's boards with random stuff that makes no sense at all.
Respect is something I mentioned before, no? You should have learned this in preschool, the golden rule? That phrase; Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. Yes, that applies here so I don't want any bull my butt!! drama on the cbox. The internet is what everyone comes onto to escape drama. So if you have a problem with someone keep it to the PMS or don't talk at all.
Anyways, if you ask someone to do something for you (like make you a graphic or something) please make sure you're polite! Please and thank you's are a must.

Then, there are no insults on races, appearances (which means your personal picture not your play-by), religion, and everything else that involves a person and their way of living. We won't tolerate people being bullied and tortured on internet because the net is the only place that a lot of people escape the stress of reality.

Things That Aren't Allowed:

Trolling - Being a prick on the internet because you can. Typically unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander, because it's the internet and, hey, you can.

Flaming - An online argument that becomes nasty or derisive, where insulting a party to the discussion takes precedence over the objective merits of one side or another

Baiting - Something posters do to gain post count. Posters post something dumb, waiting on other peoples posts so he can reply for some +1 post count. Also, posters can flame people as bait, so the person who was flamed will reply, and there will be a big argument, leading to alot of +1 post count.

Spamming - Posting something completely useless constantly which can cause the irritation of other members

Flooding - Used in instant-messaging chatrooms by people who want to disrupt the chat, and possibly cause the room to malfunction. The same message is sent over and over again at a rapid speed. This is usually achieved by copying a message and then pasting it/hitting enter as fast as possible. The message is usually very long and offensive, but sometimes comprises of just 1 character.

Sexual Harassment - In its broadest sense, sexual harrassment is the creation of a hostile environment via sexual comments and/or innuendo, sexually explicit language, sexual or crude humor, unwanted sexual advances, or the use of a position of power to obtain sexual favors.

Out of character chat is only allowed in the OOC board, the c-box, etc. please do not post posts in the regular area of role play with stuff OOC. I mean, you can include a note in your role play post, but please make sure you mark it OOC or something and make sure it's not longer than the actual post.
With graphics such as signatures and icons. I don't want a huge ass signature taking up the whole page. If your signature is bigger than 500x300, it will be taken off. The icons are simple 100x100 max.

Also Activeness!
I know we all get caught up in school, work, etc. But, I can at least post 5 times a week. So that means you should too, unless your going to be away for a extensive period of time. If so post in the Away sub board in the chatting and games board.

Also, the monthly activity checks! All you have to do is post on the thread and choose which character you want to kill or want to keep.

Do NOT ask for ranks or titles! The ranking is done by custom Ranking System that one of your admins. Anyone asking for a rank will be immediately denied. Also asking for a title will be denied. Titles can be given to you through how well you post, your dragon/powers/abilities, your rank, and/or your behavior on the chat and site. And these are your given titles once you reach the rank of Master/Elder. The titles that you receive upon your character acceptance is for the counter and for recognizing you on the board if you are a Dragon Rider. For the other titles, your givin ranks will go differently.

Punishment system

If we find any of these things stated above in the areas that will be listed below, you will get a different punishment depending on the area.

Chatbox

1st Warning - A verbal warning
2nd Warning - A kick and a final warning
3rd Warning - 10 minute Ban
4th Warning - 30 minute Ban
5th Warning - 1hr Ban
6th Warning - 24hr Ban

Additional Rule: DO NOT ask the staff to check an app or anything more than once if they already said they would check it for you; if you do not listen to this rule, we will skip the first three warnings and go straight to the fourth one.

Site

1st Warning - Verbal Warning
2nd Warning - Deletion of post and warning of getting banned
3rd Warning - 30min site ban
4th Warning - 1hr site ban
5th Warning - 24hr site ban
6th Warning - 5 day IP ban

Additional Rule: DO NOT PM the staff about something if they have checked something for you and haven't immediately replied, we all have lives and we are trying our best to get everything done.

Money Rules

Money is earned by posting. 1 post = 2 Farix. Farix is the name of the money system of Ferin Heart. To earn more Farix, you will have to complete quests and other various tasks that your Master, the Dragon Order, or The Elders give you. If you ask for money, you will be denied and will loose 1 Farix and a warning. Any more requests for more Farix will be the lose of 100 Farix and a ban for posting for a day.
